The designer that captures my eyes with his art work is Koloman
Moser. He has been an influence to the
graphic arts of the twentieth century; he has helped us improve the present day
graphic designs. I find him inspiring because he is able to find the perfect
contrast and design to intrigue the human eye. Most of his work seems to incorporate grey-scale or use very dull colors; regardless, these designs are able to leave
an impression. The design I was most fascinated by was his magazine cover he designed
in 1899, it is another grey-scale piece. All the main aspects of this
composition are in grey while the shadows are in black. This allows there to be
contrast and balance. It is a simple yet sophisticated piece which is draws me
to it.
